Sony Interactive Entertainment and Sucker Punch Productions have announced that Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition will launch for PS5 on October 1, 2026, and will be accompanied by a new narrative expansion, Echoes of Sekigahara, and the single-player combat survival mode, Most Wanted.
First up, Echoes of Sekigahara is split between the present day and flashbacks to Atsu’s time period, and introduces a figure from her past named Nagato, who has arrived in Enzo. In the present day setting, players will explore a valley once inhabited by The Snake and his followers, known as the Vipers, while in Atsu’s time the Battle of Sekigahara is the main focus point alongside a key moment in her life prior to her quest for vengeance.
Meanwhie, Most Wanted is described as “our spin of a roguelike,” and sees players accepting bounties and starts taking down enemies to earn perks, and unlock extra playable characters. More details will be revealed soon, but for now, check out the trailer below. The Complete Edition also includes all previously released Ghost of Yotei content including the Legends expansion.
Current owners of Ghost of Yotei can pick up this new content via the Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition Upgrade for $14.99, and if you don’t the Digital Deluxe Edition and Charm of Hokkyokusei you will unlock that content upon preordering. In addition other the content described above, the Complete Edition adds new tracks for Watanabe Mode, new photo mode stamps, extra cosmetics for New Game Plus, and new Trophies for the extra game modes.
For anyone who owns Ghost of Yōtei, even without purchasing the Complete Edition upgrade, a new patch on October 1 will add the new Beauty of Yōtei mode, which allows for a screensaver-like view of the environments of Ezo to keep on and relax at home (and take stunning new Photo Mode captures). There will also be new quality of life features including the option to keep an armor set’s appearance while using a different set’s stats, as well as a new high contrast accessibility option.
