If you fancy tucking into The Division 2 on your lonesome when it comes out, ten Ubisoft has some good news for you.
You’ll be able to play the entire game without the bothersome distraction of other people. With Ubisoft’s Mathias Karlson adamant that players should have that freedom of choice.
You can play through the entire story campaign into endgame and then the endgame content, alone.
But you can also do the same content [in] two, three, or four player co-op. Or eight-player co-op, two full groups in the raid if you opt into the challenge that we’re adding. So it’s very important for us that you get to pick.
This flexibility isn’t entirely new. ghost Recon Wildlands did also allow for solo play, but it was a far less interesting experience on your own. Still, it’s there if you want it, and in this age of online co-op being the go-to, it’s nice to know you can participate without interacting with others if you so wish.
The only issue then is how interesting playing solo actually is. As noted with Ghost Recon Wildlands, it can get a bit boring with A.I. teammates.
Has The Division 2 Learned From Past Mistakes?
The Division 2’s raids do sound intriguing though, with up to 8 players able to tackle them at once as you fight back in a Civil War-torn post-apocalyptic Washington D.C.
The Division 2 will be available for one or for all March 15, 2019.
