Will PSN Purchases Work On PS5 – Can I Use My Digital PS4 Games, Movies, TV Shows?
Obviously PS5 games bought from the PlayStation Store will work on PS5. Additionally, the majority of the PS4 games that you’ve bought will also be able to be downloaded and played on PS5 too, thanks to the PS5 backwards compatibility with PS4 games.
Digital PS3 game purchases will not work on PS5 currently as the console doesn’t natively support them. A big reason for this seems to be Sony looking to use PlayStation Now as a means for PS5 owners to play PS1, PS2 and PS3 games.
Other digital items that you may have purchased from the PlayStation Store, such as movies, TV shows and music should work on PS5. Also streaming service apps such as Netflix, HBO Max, Amazon Instant Video, Disney Plus and more should also all work on PS5.
