Grand Theft Auto 5, released in 2013, it’s gone on to be one of the biggest games of all time. Since its introduction, it’s only got bigger and bigger with no sign of slowing down any time soon.
Even before GTA 5’s release, Grand Theft Auto was a household name in the gaming community, with most people having played at least one of the games. Regular updates such as the heist update where crew members could play a wide range of different casino games and even plan a bank job ensured the game remained at the top of the charts, where it still sits to this day.
Rockstar, GTA’s developers latest update saw the release of GTA+, a monthly subscription that gives users numerous benefits and bonuses to improve their gaming experience. But what exactly is included in the new GTA+? Let’s take a deep dive and find out.
Free in game items
With GTA+, players will receive monthly exclusive bonus items only available to subscribers. For example, this month GTA+ players are able to obtain a bonus vehicle called the Overflod Pipistrello without lifting a finger. Additionally, players will receive an additional one million dollars each month on top of the five hundred thousand that’s already deposited into their accounts each month.
With access to their new vehicle, players can look out for new and exclusive limited time special events and opportunities to win new vehicles that others wouldn’t have access to.
With all these added extras, this alone is enough to warrant subscribing, however that’s just the tip of the iceberg, as by subscribing to GTA+ gives you access to play some of Rockstars most beloved games. Here are just some of the games you can play alongside Grand Theft Auto 5:
L.A Noire
Fancy taking a trip back to the 1940’s? In L.A Noire, you’re a detective based in Los Angeles tasked with battling crime and gangs along with solving cases throughout his career. A complete opposite to GTA as instead of playing the criminal, you’re trying to clean it up.
Originally released in 2011, it was an instant hit and one of Rockstars most well known games they’ve released.
Red Dead Redemption
Possibly one of the most well known games ever released, Red Dead Redemption is definitely one of the most acclaimed, boasting over 170 game of the year awards.
Set in the early 1900’s, Red Dead Redemption is set in the wild west, where you follow the story of John Marston, a former outlaw, as he traverses across America and Mexico in a bid to save his family.
Along with Red Dead Redemption, you also get access to the critically acclaimed expansion undead nightmare, a spin on the original storyline where a zombie outbreak unleashes in the wild west as you fight to survive hoards of zombies and try to find a cure.
Grand Theft Auto the Definitive edition
A true trio of classics, the GTA Definitive editions gives you access to some of the best GTA games ever released, GTA 3, GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas. For some, these games were their first introduction into GTA, and for others, these are all time favourites and the go to for GTA games.
One thing is for sure, these three have incredible storylines that will have you on the edge of your seat, new and improved graphics over the original releases and all three available at once for GTA+ subscribers.
GTA Liberty City Stories
A slightly different take on this one but great nonetheless, GTA Liberty City Stories is a mobile game available for GTA+ subscribers. Featuring streamlined missions and controls built especially for mobiles, this is a great way to get your GTA fix on the go when you’ve not got a console nearby.
Featuring stories from previous games but cut down for a better mobile gaming experience, this one is a great alternative to console games without giving up any content.
Along with having access to these games whilst being a member of GTA+, you also get 20% off if you decide to purchase the game to own if you buy it whilst being a GTA+ member which can also save you some money.
GTA has been a mainstay in the PlayStation gaming community for over twenty years, and there’s no sign of this slowing down with the new GTA 6 currently in development. Although GTA is Rockstar’s clear headline game, GTA+ gives you access to some of their other incredible games that would certainly be worth your time to play and finish.
Red Dead Redemption has one of the best storylines in gaming, and the Definitive Edition is sure to bring you back to simpler times in your past as you played GTA for the first time.
