Now that Sony has released the first details about the non-backwards-compatible games on PS5, many have been wondering just what is Joe’s Diner on PS4.
Joe’s Diner is a 2016 horror game that takes place in a Diner off of route 7. You are an employee working the graveyard shift for the next month and you have to keep the tables clean. But, the Diner was built on a former Native American cemetery and two rival chieftains were laid to rest there. Both of them will haunt you as you work. The game has a total of 30-night shifts for you to work and you have to keep things calm to not anger the chieftains.
When it comes to how the game was received when it launched the answer is not well. Metacritic has a total of 3 reviews for the game, 2 of which award the game a 2 out of ten and the third giving is a 1.5. One of those reviews, from PlayStation Country, stated the following “Joe’s Diner is about as dull in gameplay as its dimly lit environment. It’s about as by the numbers as a game about a haunted eatery can get. There are no thrills here, no scares and no reason to spend money on this game, let alone for the insulting price tag it currently has. Avoid or the grumpy spirit of native American Chieftain will get you.”
So there you go, it doesn’t look like you are missing out on much having the game not playable on PS5 through backwards compatibility.
