Ballistic Moon’s upcoming Until Dawn remaster for PS5 and PC will cost $60/£60, according to the ever-reliable billbil-kun at dealabs.
This has attracted a lot of criticism online from gamers considering you can already play Until Dawn via backwards compatibility on the PS5, and if you haven’t got the PS4 version, it’s available extra cheap nowadays. While the PS5 version obviously does boast a number of improvements over the original edition, it’s not a remake on the same level as, say, Resident Evil 2, and so the full price tag is a tough pill to swallow for some people.

Until Dawn is pencilled in for a PS5 and PC release on October 4, 2024. The game features a number of enhancements over the PS4 original, including completely revamped character models and environments, plus new collectibles and an extended prologue sequence.
Originally released in 2015 for the PS4, Until Dawn pays homage to classic teen horror slashers, and follows eight young adults who are stalked by a malevolent presence while on vacation at Blackwood Mountain. Player choice is crucial, as all characters and survive or die depending on the decisions you make throughout.
