Indie developer Drama has debuted a trailer for its upcoming photorealistic bodycam shooter Unrecord, which has become a massive talking point among gamers since its release overnight.
The Unrecord trailer clocks in at just over two minutes and depicts a police officer storming a building and getting involved in a gun battle with criminals. The trailer has already notched up over 40 million views after it was posted by co-director and programmer, Alexandre Spindler, and amassed more than 150,000 likes.
Meanwhile, the YouTube version of the trailer has pulled in over 210,000 views and has received a hugely positive response from viewers. Since the footage was released, a lot of folk have been questioning whether or not it’s representative of in-game footage due to the quality of the visuals.
One YouTube user commented:
This is the only game I’ve ever seen that actually confuses my brain into thinking it’s real. That’s because it’s not a game but actual footage with filters to make it look like a game.
Unrecord is so far only confirmed for a PC release via Steam, but a release date has yet to be confirmed.
