Andrzej Sapkowski, the Polish author behind The Witcher franchise, has confirmed that he has finished the latest book in the series, which is the first in over a decade.
Speaking with Chimeres, Sapkowski revealed that the latest Witcher book took about two years to write, although not much is known about it right now other than it is expected to debut in lat 2024 in Poland and early 2025 for the rest of the world.
It has been suggested that the new story will be connected to A Little Sacrifice, which is a short story that chronicles Geralt of Rivia’s exploits as he travels with Dandelion across The Continent following his first break-up with Jennefer of Vengerburg.

On the video game front, The Witcher series has been keeping a low profile since 2015’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, although developer CD Projekt is resting the franchise for much longer. The company is currently working on a brand new entry in the series, as well as a full remake of The Witcher.
Few details are available on The Witcher 4 (unofficial title; we don’t actually know what it will be called), although Doug Cockle, the voice actor behind Geralt, has confirmed that the character will appear in the game, but won’t be a main focus.
