Telltale Games has announced that The Walking Dead: A New Frontier, the third season in its critically acclaimed horror series, will launch on December 20, 2016.
The Walking Dead Season 3 arrives just in time for Christmas
Episode One of the new Walking Dead series will launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, iOS, PC, and Android for $4.99, while a Season Pass giving you access to all five episodes will set you back $24.99.
Telltale Games has also confirmed that it will release a Season Pass disc on February 7, 2017, which features the first episode plus access to chapters 2-5 as they are released. You can pre-order the disc now for PS4 and Xbox One for $29.99.
A New Frontier reunites gamers with Clementine, the heroine of the previous two seasons of The Walking Dead, as she continues to survive in a post-apocalyptic, zombie-infested United States alongside newcomer Javier, “a young man determined to find the family taken from him.”
Based on Robert Kirkman’s comic book series, The Walking Dead from Telltale Games first debuted back in 2012 and proved a huge success, picking up numerous Game of the Year awards from critics and spawning the 400 Days expansion. The second season was released in 2013, while a spin-off series featuring the Katana-wielding Michonne launched earlier this year.
Telltale has confirmed it will offer an extended gameplay teaser for The Walking Dead: A New Frontier at the Game Awards early next month.
