New castings have been announced for The Last of Us Season 2 on HBO ahead of its premiere in April 2025.
First up is Joe Pantoliano, who is portraying the character of Eugene from The Last of Us Part II and will be expanded for the TV show. Eugene isn’t seen alive in the the game, although he is talked about at large by Ellie and Dina after stumbling across his cannabis lab. Meanwhile, Noah Lamanna and Robert John Burke will be playing Kat and Seth, respectively, both residents of the Jackson community where Joel and Ellie reside.

Finally, Alanna Ubach, Ben Ahlers, and Hettienne Park will be playing original roles that are not adapted from The Last of Us Part II — Hanrahan, Burton, and Elise Park.
The Last of Us Season 2 will not completely adapt the story of The Last of Us Part II, with showrunner Craig Mazin previously confirming it will be split into two seasons.
