Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that it will release a The Last of Us Part 2 PS4 Pro Limited Edition console alongside Naughty Dog’s highly anticipated sequel next month.

The PS4 Pro itself includes a customised matte finish featuring the design of Ellie’s tattoo, a DualShock 4 Limited Edition controller, a copy of The Last of Us Part 2, plus a code to grab a bunch of digital goodies such as The Last of Us Part 2 PS4 dynamic theme, avatars, and more.
Meanwhile, the DualShock 4 also includes Ellie’s tattoo design in the lower right-hand side of the pad, and will also be available separately. The touchpad also features The Last of Us Part 2 logo.
Here’s what Naughty Dog’s John Sweeney had to say about the design of the console:
When the opportunity arose to create a custom PS4 Pro for The Last of Us Part II, I worked with our graphic designer at the time, Angel Garcia, and we considered a few different ideas, but we kept coming back to Ellie’s tattoo. By that point, it had become a symbol of the game and for the community-much like the Firefly logo in the first game.
It was the clear choice, but we wondered: what if it could be engraved? It hadn’t been done before, so we weren’t sure it was even possible, but thanks to the incredible efforts of the teams at PlayStation, we found a way.
If that wasn’t enough, there’s also a Limited Edition Gold Wireless Headset and The Last of Us Part 2 Officially Licensed Seagate 2TB Gam Drive up for grabs to complete the set. The latter features a laser-etched design of Ellie’s tattoo, and has the capacity to house 50+ games.
The Last of Us Part 2 is scheduled for release on June 19.
