As filming continues for the second season of The Last of Us HBO, we’ve now got our first glimpse at one of the key factions from Naughty Dog’s 2020 to be adapted for the show – the Seraphites, aka Scars.

The Seraphites are one of the major groups featured in The Last of Us: Part 2, and are engulfed in a bloody war with the Washington Liberation Front over the control of Seattle. Unlike the militaristic WLF, the Scars are not as heavily armed, instead preferring to use stealth tactics with silent weapons such as bow and arrows to ambush victims from cover.
The Last of Us HBO Season 2 is expected to air in early 2025 and will serve as the introduction to the story of The Last of Us Part 2, although showrunner Craig Mazin has said he expects the entire narrative to last two whole seasons.
