The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion Remastered Images Leak, Confirms PS5 Release & Digital Deluxe Edition

Images of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered have surfaced online after leaking from a website for Virtuos, which confirms the game is set to launch on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. What’s more, a Digital Deluxe version of the Oblivion remaster has also been confirmed in the leak.

The screenshots include a comparison between the original 2006 version of the fantasy-RPG and the remaster, which you can check out in the ResetEra thread here. As for the Digital Deluxe Edition, this features additional weapons and horse armour, the latter no doubt cheeky wink to the notorious DLC that hit the original version and later became an Internet meme in its own right.

Rumours about The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remake (as it was referred to as) have been doing the rounds for months now, and only this week, journalist Jeff Grubb claimed that the remaster is set to launch on the week of April 21, 2025. Prior to that, it had been reported that the game would be powered by Unreal Engine 5 and feature a revamp of some of its core mechanics.

In addition, the Steam listing for the original release of The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion last week removed various media including trailers, suggesting a reveal at the very least was imminent.

The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion was released for the PC and Xbox 360 back in 2006, and received a PS3 release the following year. The game received two major story-based expansions, The Knights of the Nine and The Shivering Isles, both of which were included in the Game of the Year release.
