Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb has claimed that the long-rumoured The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remake is going to be released imminently.
Speaking in a stream yesterday, Grubb said that he has “been told it’s going to shadow drop at any moment this month….It’s going to shadow drop pretty soon.”
Grubb’s comments follow news that trailers and other video media related to The Elder Scrolls IV was removed from Steam, suggesting an announcement and/or release is just around the corner. Back in January this year it was claimed that support studio Virtuos was working on the remake of the 2006 fantasy-RPG, with Unreal Engine 5 powering the project.

More recently, leaker NateTheHate and VGC claimed that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remake would be announced very soon, possibly in the next few weeks ahead of a launch as early as this month, but no later than June 2025. Nothing official has been announced yet, so keep that in mind.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was first released in 2006 on the PC and Xbox 360, with a PS3 version arriving the following year. A Game of the Year Edition soon followed featuring all major expansion, including Knights of the Nine and The Shivering Isles.
