The German PlayStation Store has listed the four characters that will make up Tekken 8‘s Year 1 DLC lineup, and there’s a couple fan favourites in there as well as a newcomer.
While the listing has since been removed, it confirms that the character pass will include Roger, Xiao Meng, Armor King, and Eddy Gordo. Xiao is obviously the newcomer here so we don’t know anything about them yet, but Armor King and Eddy Gordo are obviously long-time fan favourites; many were surprised that Eddy didn’t make the cut in the launch roster
Armor King was a hugely popular addition to Tekken 7 when he launched in Season 2, and ranks among the most successful DLCs for that game. Roger is an interesting choice, as he’s a boxing kangaroo and hasn’t been seen in a non-Tekken Tag game for a while now.
Tekken 8 is scheduled for release on January 26, 2024 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. In case you missed it, Bandai Namco released a new gameplay yesterday featuring Sergei Dragunov in action.
