Tekken 8 Update 2.01 Set For Mid-May, Includes Adjustments To Aerial Combo Damage & Heat Burst

Bandai Namco Games has revealed its future plans to address the ongoing issues with Tekken 8 Season 2, confirming that the next major patch will drop in the middle of next month and address aerial combo damage and Heat Burst performance. Recently, a new update was released to reduce the frame advantage on Heat Engagers, increase overall health for characters, and remove the wall crush mechanic.

However, many characters still possess powerful moves that have little to no counterplay, while others have been changed drastically to the point where their identity has been scrubbed. As such, there’s still a long way to go before many of the egregious problems with Season 2 have been remedied, but at least we’re on the right path. You can read Bandai Namco Games’ post below detailing its next steps.

– Aerial combo damage will be mitigated.

– Revision of the performance of Heat Burst, etc.

fter the mid-May update, we will continue to work on improving the performance of each character and the situations where one-sided games tend to occur based on user opinions and feedback.
