Bandai Namco Games has patched a character specific bug in Tekken 8 regarding Anna and Eddy’s interaction at the start match There’s nothing new here in terms of content or character balancing, although as previously reported, the studio is continuing to address the egregious issues with Season 2 overtime. You can read details in the Tekken 8 update 2.00.03 patch notes below.
Tekken 8 Season 2 rolled out at the start of April 2025 and was immediately met with considerable backlash from players. The main issue stems from the introduction of numerous overpowered attacks that have little to no counterplay, while some characters have been changed so much that they have lost much of their identity. Lee, for example, has lost legacy move inputs that players have mastered for more than two decades, while Steve has been altered to force stance mixups.
Last week Bandai Namco Games introduced a new patch that reduced the chip damage on moves and also nerfed the plus frames on Heat Engagers, although many of the major issues still remain.
