Tekken 8 Update 2.00.02 Out Now, Nerfs Overpowered Moves & Reduces Frame Advantage On Heat Engagers; Full Patch Notes Listed

Tekken 8 has received a new update today that brings a number of key changes in an effort to tone down the use of overpowered moves and introduce more counterplay for the defending player. In addition, an overall health increase has been added, and the frame advantage for Heat engagers has been reduced from a +17 to +9, which makes a huge difference to the number of defensive options you can apply. You can read the full details in the Tekken 8 update 2.00.02 patch notes below.

Season Two of Tekken 8 launched earlier this month, but was met with considerable backlash among regular and Pro players alike, as it failed to deliver the buff to defensive mechanics as promised. Instead, many characters received overwhelming new attacks with little counterplay (Jack-8 in particular had a nasty string that could be spammed continuously, while King’s throws in Heat are homing), while some such as Lee were inexplicably gutted and lost their identity in the process.
