Tekken 8 Pluggers Are Now Being Slapped With Permanent Bans From Online Play

Bandai Namco Games is now handing out permanent bans for Tekken 8 players who plug during online matches, which means those who have been slapped with such punishment will no longer be able to take part in the game’s online functions.

Plugging has been a major problem for Tekken 8 since launch as there’s no actual penalty in place. For example, Tekken 7 would give you a warning for your first disconnect, and you would lose rank points thereafter and your name would turn yellow or red depending on how much you continued to plug.

However, it’s now emerged that users are being banned from Tekken 8 online. Infamous fighting game streamer Dale Wilson, aka LowTierGod, is notorious for plugging in various games including Tekken 8, only to find out mid-stream that he had been banned from playing the game online.

Previously, a list of serial cheaters and rage quitters had their progress reset, although it didn’t take them long to reclaim their ranks.
