A tweet by the official Spyro the Dragon account has sparked hope amongst fans that we may be getting a new instalment in the much-loved platforming franchise.
The tweet features an image of the purple fire-breathing dragon and the motto ‘you gotta believe,’ with the text ‘2024 Motto’ accompanying the tweet. As such, it’s got a lot of people hoping that we’ll see a new game announced this year.
It’s been a long time since we’ve seen a new Spyro the Dragon game arrive on the scene, although Toys for Bob did release the Spyro the Dragon Reignited Trilogy back in 2018, which remastered the first three PSOne games in the franchise. Prior to this, the last major game was 2008’s The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon.
Nothing official has been announced in regards to a new Spyro the Dragon game yet, but we can live in hope that something may happen this year.
