PlayStation Network attracted a monthly active user count of 118 million during the third quarter of fiscal year 2023, Sony Interactive announced during its latest financial results.
This represents a substantial increase of 10 million compared to the same period during the last financial year, and it’s no surprise that Helldivers 2 just happened to launch in the past couple of months, which no doubt contributed to the boost in PSN users.
Speaking of Helldivers 2, it was recently confirmed that the Arrowhead Game Studios-developed title had sold 12 million copies worldwide following its February release, setting a new record for PlayStation. Evidently, the teething issues the game had at launch didn’t have much of an impact on its performance, and thankfully the whole PSN debate was soon sorted after Sony backpedaled on its plans.

Sony also announced in its latest financial results that the PS5 has shipped 59.3 million units worldwide.
