Co-op News PS5 Sony Bend Sony Bend New Game third-person

Sony Bend Studio Reportedly Working On Third-Person Co-Op Game With Reveal Set For 2027

Days Gone developer Sony Bend is reportedly working on a third-person co-op title as its next project, which is set to be revealed in 2027.

That’s according to a report on MP1st, which cites people familiar with Sony Bend’s plans who wish to remain anonymous. While Sony Bend was previously working on a live service game before it was cancelled, the company is no longer pursuing this avenue for its new project, as the report confirms it won’t be a live service product.

What isn’t known at this point is if the game will be a new IP or part of an existing franchise, although the report does state that it isn’t a sequel to Days Gone. Not only is the game planned to be revealed next year, but Sony Bend’s latest project is reportedly set to launch in 2027 too. Apparently, it’s “much further along in development” than what people may have thought.

Days Gone was released for the PS4 in April 2019 and is to date the most recent game that Sony Bend has shipped. Back in January 2025, Sony announced that it had scrapped two live service title – one at Sony Bend and the other a God of War title at Bluepoint Games.
