Morio Kishimoto, the director behind last year’s Sonic Frontiers, has revealed that fans of the Blue Blur can ‘look forward’ to more 2D entries in the long-running platforming franchise.
Kishimoto-san was asked on Twitter if SEGA would consider releasing another game similar to Sonic the Hedgehog 4, which returned to the 2D roots of the series, to which he replied “in addition to 3D Sonic games, Sonic games also have side-scrolling Sonic games, so please look forward to them.”
