Australia’s Classification Board has clarified that Silent Hill f has not been banned in the region, following widespread reports that the upcoming horror title had been refused a rating.
Speaking to GamesRadar, a spokesperson for the ratings Boyd revealed that, “Silent Hill f is not currently classified as ‘Refused Classification’ in Australia. The Australian Government website listing for Silent Hill f has now been removed to reflect this.
However, it’s important to note that Silent Hill f hasn’t been given a specific rating yet despite not being banned, so we’ll have to see what happens at a later date. The spokesperson confirmed that “a classification decision will be published to the National Classification Database ahead of the game’s release.”

Silent Hill f is currently in development for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, and a recent disclaimer posted on the game’s official website reveals that it will contain a number of sensitive topics including bullying and gender discrimination. A release date for Silent Hill f has yet to be announced.
