Sea Of Thieves, the very first Rare game to ever grace a PlayStation platform and one of the first four previously Xbox exclusive titles to jump over to other platforms was the most downloaded game on PS5 in the US/Canada and the EU.
The monthly download charts from the PlayStation Blog are here for May 2024, and it was an Xbox game at the top of the charts.
Not that it’s a huge surprise – it had been clear from the pre-order period that Sea Of Thieves was going to be popular on PlayStation – and now that it’s had a full month on the platform, it’s clear even more players are liking the pirate’s life experience provided in Sea Of Thieves.
Just behind Sea Of Thieves in the US/Canada was Madden NFL 24, and behind that in third place was Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare III.
In the EU, second place went to Grand Theft Auto V, and third place to F1 24. Over on PS4, the top downloaded game in the US/Canada and the EU was Minecraft, which would’ve likely also come second to Sea Of Thieves, if it had been available on PS4.
