Rumour — The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remake To Be Revealed Next Month

A remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion could be announced as early as next month, according to YouTuber Extas1s.

The report claims that long-rumoured project could be unveiled during an Xbox Direct event in January 2025, and that the game could also see a release next year, too. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remake is reportedly in the works at Virtuous is utilising Unreal Engine 5.

The remake of the 2006 fantasy-RPG was first mentioned in documents during the FTC’s investigation into Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard, although at the time it was stated the game would arrive in fiscal year 2022. Nothing official has been confirmed by Bethesda at this point, but we’ll keep you posted.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was originally released for the PC and Xbox 360 in 2006, with a PS3 version arriving the following year.
