Rocket Arena Will Shut Down Its Servers In March 2024

Rocket Arena is the latest online multiplayer title to be sunset, as EA and developer Final Strike Games have announced that the servers will be shut down as of March 21, 2024.

First launching in July 2020, it arrived on the scene not as a free-to-play title and those who dived in on day one did bemoan a lack of content.

Final Strike Games did of course keep updating the title, and three years is much longer than most brand new multiplayer games last, but even the players seemed to know the writing was on the wall, as Reddit user therancor91 predicted the game was about to be sunset, almost a month before Thursday’s announcement.\

Not to mention it was also de-listed from all digital storefronts without a word from EA last month.

“We can’t thank you all enough for playing Rocket Arena and supporting us during this journey.” Final Strike Games began in its blog post.

“We’re thrilled that people from all around the world got to enjoy Rocket Arena for three and a half years since it launched in July of 2020. Since then, there’s been a ton of Knockouts, Megablasts, Rocketball goals, Mega Rockets captured, and coins collected.

We’ve been consistently blown away by the kindness, care, and camaraderie that’s been shown from the Rocket Arena community.”

There will be plenty of in-game events from now until sunset, so if you have Rocket Arena in your library, from now until March is your last chance to play it before it gets shut down.
