Roblox has arrived on PS5 and PS4, and players can now go into the PlayStation Store and download the Roblox app which allows them to access all of Roblox’s content.
The “experiences” available to players will be in their home screen separated by categories, while other tabs will cover your player’s avatar and marketplace and one tab for connecting to friends online.
There’s also only a PS4 version of the Roblox app, there is no native PS5 version of the app.
We got confirmation from the last State Of Play event that Roblox would indeed be coming to PS5 and PS4, after it was first still being blocked on the console due to PlayStation’s own rules around exploitation of children.
Those rules were since “reviewed” and PlayStation seemingly now no longer has that concern, despite Roblox not changing anything about how it operates.
That there was a concern at all however is no surprise, as its been well documented that Roblox consistently fails to properly moderate its platform, protect against children over-spending on their parents credit cards, and essentially runs off child labour.
Roblox however is one of the largest players in the games industry simply because of how accessible it is for kids, that it is now available on pretty much all major platforms almost always seemed inevitable.
