Johannes Roberts, the director behind the upcoming Resident Evil movie reboot, has announced the full title for the horror flick – Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City.
For those who haven’t been keeping up with the movie’s development, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is a retelling of the first two entries in Capcom’s survival horror franchise, featuring iconic locations such as the Spencer Mansion and Raccoon Police Department.
The film will also feature a pretty big cast of characters, with Claire and Chris Redfield featuring alongside Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield among others.
True to the source material, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City will take place in the year 1998, although quite how they’re going to squash two games worth of material into a single movie remains to be seen.
