Sony announced during its State of Play broadcast that Separate Ways is finally coming to Resident Evil 4 Remake on September 21, 2023, alongside an update for The Mercenaries that will add Ada Wong and Albert Wesker as playable characters.
Separate Ways was originally released for the PS2 version of Resident Evil 4 and focuses on Ada’s mission in the village and surrounding area, which takes place concurrently with the main campaign. The original Separate Ways had the sultry spy exploring the same areas as Leon, as well as a couple of new locations including a submarine base, while being in regular communication with Wesker.
Both Ada and Wesker featured in The Mercenaries in the original version of Resident Evil 4, with Wesker in particular being a powerful character rocking the Killer 7 magnum as well as some devastating melee finishers. Hopefully these traits will make the transition to his RE4 Remake incarnation.
Resident Evil 4 Remake was released in March 2023 for PS5, PS4, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
