Randy Pitchford Hoped For Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands ‘Big Campaign DLC,’ But Gearbox Couldn’t Spare Resources Due To Borderlands 4

Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford has revealed that he was hoping the studio could make “big campaign DLC” for Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, but the developer was unable to do so while giving the in-development Borderlands 4 the attention it requires.

Speaking on X, Pitchford was responding to the suggestion that the Borderlands spin-off title had flopped, and while this was more directed at endgame content than sales, the Gearbox CEO said that its commercial performance was solid, and “Wonderlands was extremely far from a flop.”

I wish we could’ve managed some big campaign DLC, but [there was] no way to do that *and* put the focus on Borderlands 4 that we needed to.
