Rainbow Six Siege Console And PC Cross-Play Arrives In December

Rainbow Six Siege is getting a much-requested feature beginning this December with its Season 4 update, the final seasonal update for Year 9 for Siege.

Players on console and PC will finally be able to play together when full cross-play goes live along with the rest of the update next month on December 3, 2024.

If you thought this was something that Siege already had, you’d be forgiven for your mistake. There’s already crossplay between Xbox and PlayStation players, and PC players on Amazon Luna can play with other PC players.

Now however, starting in December, no matter where you’re playing Rainbow Six Siege, you’ll be able to play with your friends on whatever platform they choose to play on.

Ubisoft announced the news during the game’s Operation Collision Point Reveal Panel, which went over Season 4 and all its new features, beginning with cross-play.

The only thing to keep in mind for console players is the fact that if you have someone in your party playing on PC, matchmaking will always match your party with other players on PC, there won’t be an instance where you have people on PC and console in your party, and the other team is full of console players.
