Guillaume de Fondaumière, the CEO and Head of Publishing for Heavy Rain developer Quantic Dream, has released a statement on LinkedIn that the company was not affected by the recent layoffs and studio closures within NetEase Games.
[Quantic president] David Cage and I would like to express our gratitude to the fans and friends who have reached out to us in recent days regarding Quantic Dream. We want to reassure everyone that our studios in Paris and Montreal remain unaffected. We are continuing to develop our projects at full pace, with several open positions available in both locations.

The developments of our current projects are progressing as planned, and we are fully committed to delivering and launching these innovative, high-quality titles in the future.
Quantic Dream was acquired by NetEase Games back in August 2022 and is currently working on the highly anticipated Star Wars Eclipse, which has yet to attract a release date. The game was announced in December 2021 during The Game Awards, and in September 2023 Quantic Dream simply commend that it was still ‘simmering‘ at the studio.
In August last year, it was revealed that Star Wars Eclipse’s lead writer, Adam Williams, had departed the company to establish a new development team.
