A number of PS Portal users on Reddit have claimed that the remote gaming device benefits from a few advantages when used in conjunction with the newly-released PS5 Pro.
While the advantages of the PS5 Pro are widely known at this point as far as technical prowess, PS Portal owners claim that the system also irons out a stuttering issues with the device, as well as implementing HDR support. Sony hasn’t said anything about PS5 Pro and its effects on remote gaming via PS Portal, so we’ll have to take these claims with a pinch of salt.

It’s important to remember that while the PS5 Pro is able to offer the likes of 4K resolution and 120 FPS for compatible games, the PS Portal does not support such features. However, that’s not to say PS Portal remote gaming doesn’t benefit from some of the performance enhancements afforded by Sony’s high-end system.
The PS Portal was released late last year and allows users to stream PS5 games to the device using Wi-Fi. Meanwhile, the PS5 Pro was released on November 7, 2024. We’ve got our hands on the console, and you can read our full review here to see if it’s wroth the steep asking price.
