PS5 Pro PSSR Is Targeting 4K 120 FPS/8K 60 FPS, A New Report Has Claimed

Sony as-yet unannounced PS5 Pro is reportedly set to include the all-new Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) into its hardware, which will allegedly target 4K 120 FPS/8K 60 FPS gaming, according to a new report on Insider-Gaming .

There’s been a lot of info leaking regarding the PS5 Pro as of late, with Henderson claiming recently that the development kits for the system look identical to those seen in the standard PS5 console. A more detailed report compares some of the (alleged) specs of the new machine to the existing model, revealing the PS5 Pro will allegedly feature a 28% increase in system memory.

The report goes on to say that PSSR featured in the PS5 Pro is currently clocking in at 3840×2160, but its internal goal is to achieve 4K 60 FPS/8K 30 FPS; however, it’s unknown if those internal goals can be reached.

As mentioned the PS5 Pro hasn’t been made official yet, but Sony is reportedly targeting a November 2024 launch for the mid-cycle refresh, which is known as Project Trinity internally.
