PS5 Disc Drive Is Coming Back In Stock At UK Retailers, But Currys Is Charging Extra

UK retailer Currys has received new stock for the PS5 Disc Drive today, suggesting that the device is going to hit other major retail chains in the country following a dry spell. However, Currys has decided to raise the price of the dis drive to £109, even though its RRP is £99.99.

The PS5 Disc Drive has been out of stock across the UK after it was announced that the PS5 Pro would not ship with the ability to play physical games, so many early adopters quickly snapped up the product. As a result, scalpers quickly turned their attention to the disc drive ahead of the release of Sony’s high-end console to make a quick profit.
