According to the latest GSD data, the PS4 managed to sell more games in 2023 across Europe than the Xbox Series X/S.
While PC took the crown in terms of overall software sales, the PS5 came in second place followed by Nintendo Switch. In total, 182 million PC and console games were shifted across Europe in 2023, representing a rise of 1.7% year-on-year.
In terms of some of the best-selling games, EA Sports FC 24 was ahead of the pack by a comfortable margin, with Hogwarts Legacy coming in second place. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 sales were down 32% compared to 2022’s effort, resulting in the game failing to rank among the top three games of the year.
