Sony has announced that it will launch the PS4 Slim 1TB model in North America this month, following its release in the U.K. last September.

Gamers across the pond will be able to pick up the console for $299.99, giving them a second option when investing in a PS4 Slim after previously only having the 500GB SKU to pick from. The 1TB PS4 Slim comes with a single DualShock 4 controller.

While Sony has said the console will launch later this month in the U.S., it hasn’t provided a concrete release date for the 1TB PS4 Slim. However, retail juggernaut GameStop has listed the system as shipping on April 20.

It’s also worth noting that the high-end PS4 Pro retails for $100 more than the 1TB PS4 Slim, so you might want to think about saving your cash if you want to bump up your gaming experience to 4K resolution.

Sony launched the PS4 in November 2013 alongside Microsoft’s Xbox One, and quickly pulled ahead of its lead rival in terms of worldwide sales. The console maker announced earlier this year that its flagship console had sold an impressive 53.4 million units globally, while Xbox One is estimated to have moved around 28 million units.
