Ryu ga Gotoku Studio has revealed that Yakuza: Like A Dragon‘s PS4 dave data will not be transferable to the PS5 version of the game, meaning that when you get the free upgrade in March 2021, you will need to start the game fresh.
In a tweet confirming a free upgrade for physical versions of the game, RGG Studio also revealed the small detail that save data won’t come with you to the new generation. This is an unfortunate revelation and makes the PS5 upgrade for the game less enticing, especially if you already sink a number of hours into the game between November and March.
