PS Plus Extra Game Catalog And PS Plus Premium Classic Games Being Added For May 2024 Revealed

Everyone knows that PS Plus Essential or the base-level subscription tier for PlayStation Plus gets you at least 3 free games a month. That perk has been a staple to the service since it was originally rolled out.

Now with the new tiered model, players subscribed to the top two tiers, PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium get even more games per month, with games entering both a wide Games Catalog and a Classic Games catalog.

PlayStation has revealed the games being added to both the Game Catalog and the Classic Games catalog, with 9 recent titles, 3 classic games and one giant expansion entering into the service.

All the games below will be available to subscribers on May 21, 2024.

PS Plus Extra Game Catalog May 2024 Additions:

  • Red Dead Redemption 2
  • The Sims 4: City Living Expansion (Only grants access to the expansion, you’ll still need to own The Sims 4 to use this)
  • Deceive Inc.
  • Crime Boss: Rockay City
  • The Settlers: New Allies
  • Stranded: Alien Dawn
  • Cat Quest
  • Cat Quest 2
  • The LEGO Movie 2 Video Game
  • Watch Dogs

PS Plus Premium Classic Game Catalog May 2024 Additions:

  • 2Xtreme (PS5, PS4)
  • G-Police (PS5, PS4)
  • Worms Pinball (PS5, PS4)

While Red Dead Redemption 2 seems like the biggest ‘get’ here for PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers, it should be noted Animal Well in fact launched directly into the PS Plus Extra Game Catalog when it released just last week.

The news of this month’s games also marks an official word from PlayStation on the departure of Horizon Zero Dawn from the PS Plus Extra Game Catalog.

It’s unfortunate that PlayStation is removing its first-party titles from the Game Catalog service, though there is speculation that this is being done to prepare for a Remaster of HZD to replace the original PS4 version in the service.
