Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio‘s Masayoshi Yokoyama has revealed that all fan theories he’s look at regarding just what Project Century is all about are completely incorrect, following the announcement of the title during The Game Awards 2024 in early December.
The trailer confirms a 1915 setting for the project, but beyond that, it doesn’t actually show anything about what the game is about. This resulted in speculation running rampant online about Project Century, but according to Yokoyama-san, no one has got it right.
Speaking during a broadcast on December 26, 2024, he revealed that “We didn’t include any information that would enable people to guess,” simply stating that Project Century is an action-adventure game and nothing more.
