A second pair of official PlayStation shoes has just been unveiled to the public, and will release worldwide on the 1st December 2018.
Like the original PG2 X, the PG 2.5 X PlayStation Colorway is the product of a collaboration between professional basketball player Paul George, Nike, and PlayStation itself.
The Latest Pair of Official PlayStation Shoes Features an Old-School Design
“This time around, I wanted to take the design old school, back to my earliest days of gaming” George revealed, when discussing the design of the new shoes.
“For me – as I’m sure many of you can relate – those memories date back to the original PlayStation. Working with Nike and PlayStation, we focused on bringing that original PlayStation inspiration to life in this new design.”
As a result, the PG 2.5 X closely resembles the ground-breaking console in its vaguely off-white colouring. Whilst retaining the iconic triangle, circle, cross, and square embossing and the pulsating PG and PlayStation logos on the tongue featured on the previous design.
Now, the PG 2.5 X isn’t cheap. Costing the princely sum of $110 in the US.
However, if that isn’t enough to put you off and you’re dead set on purchasing a pair of your very own, you’ll need to download the Nike SNKRS app.
Merch as Far as the Eye Can See
There are plenty of other ways to show your loyalty to the PlayStation brand, of course.
Just last month Sony released a brand-new collection of merch, including various pieces of actually rather classy-looking furniture (relatively speaking) and Christmas-themed jumpers.
Although our personal favourites, aside from the PS2 coffee table, has to be the PlayStation Mini and Shape lights. Both of which you can purchase from the PlayStation Gear website.
