Team NINJA has announced that it will release a new Ninja Gaiden 2 Black update in mid-February to implant a range of balance adjustments and other features.
Here’s what the studio had to say about the update in a post on X:
Based on the feedback received, we are preparing a patch aimed for release in mid February with some balance adjustments and additional features.

Earlier this week, Team NINJA released a small update for the game which include the following changes:
- Fixed an issue where the options for DLSS and XeSS would not appear when selecting super resolution type on the Microsoft Store version of the game.
- Fixed an issue that in rare cases made it impossible to progress after defeating certain bosses.
Ninja Gaiden 2 Black was released for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S last week, and also announced that Ninja Gaiden 4 is currently in development with a Fall 2025 release planned. The original Ninja Gaiden 2 was released for the Xbox 360 in 2008, and was ported to the PS3 as Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2.
