The official PlayStation website listing for Ghost of Yotei has updated the game’s synopsis, revealing a few interesting tidbits regarding Sucker Punch Productions‘ hotly anticipated epic, among which includes mention of odd jobs and bounties.

300 years after the events of Ghost of Tsushima, a new warrior – Atsu – rises from the ashes of her homestead. Filled with fury and determination, Atsu will hunt down those responsible for the death of her family and exact her revenge. Every odd job and bounty will provide the coin she needs for her journey. But how she fights, survives, and evolves the legend of the Ghost, will be up to you.

The mention of bounties is interesting, although we haven’t got much to go on right now other than Atsu will be able to take on jobs in exchange for coin. Still, this hasn’t stopped speculation running rampant, with some people believing it might lead to a full-blown feature supplemented by an in-game economy. Nothing has been confirmed at this point, however.
Ghost of Yotei is pencilled in for release at some point this year, with Sucker Punch’s senior communications manager recently reaffirming the launch window in a post on X last week.
