Shaun Escayg is reportedly leading development on an unannounced Naughty Dog game that has been in the works for three years now.
That’s according to DnaileRPK, who revealed on his Patreon page that the mystery title is not The Last of Us Part III, which itself has been rumoured as being in the works for some time now. Having said that, Neil Druckmann recently said that people ‘shouldn’t bet on there being more of The Last of Us‘ when talking about a possible third entry.

Naughty Dog has a second project (not The Last of Us III), directed by Shaun Escayg (Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, Avengers), the Patreon post reads. “It’s been in development for three years now.
The fact Escayg is involved is quite interesting given his history with the Uncharted franchise, which has been on ice since 2017’s Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Naughty Dog is believed to have moved on from that series, but there have been murmurs that an Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune remake is in the works, but nothing official has been announced.
Naughty Dog is working on a brand new IP titled Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, which it announced during December’s The Game Awards. However, that particular title is reportedly not going to see the light of day until 2027 at the earliest.
