Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 release window & new details unveiled

Bandai Namco unveiled the release window and details (some of which were in Japan’s V-Jump magazine last month) about Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 at their Global Gamers Day in Las Vegas this weekend.

First off, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is set for a fall 2015 release in the west, like in Japan, and will launch for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.

In Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, players will have the ability to switch to playing as a support character thanks to the Change Leader System. You can re-assemble classic teams from the anime or create your own unique ninja team. Wall running is another new feature included to make battles even faster and flashier than before.

Like in the past Ultimate Ninja Storm, there are three battle system types to choose from: ultimate jutsu, awakening, and drive. Both the ultimate jutsu and awakening can be used in Ultimate Ninja Storm 4. There is also new combination ultimate jutsu that players will be able to execute for powerful, snazzy attacks.

Bandai Namco confirmed Hanabi Hyuga, younger sister of Hanata, will make her Ultimate Ninja Storm debut as a playable character.

Not only will both Japanese and English voiceover be included as usual, but so will Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. This is thanks to Bandai Namco’s commitment to fans in Latin America and to expand their support of South America.

Be sure to check out the new trailer, gameplay videos and my impressions of Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 here and swing back later this week for more coverage from Bandai Namco’s Global Gamers Day 2015.
