The Boys actor Antony Starr has confirmed on Instagram that he isn’t voicing Homelander for the character’s guest appearance in Mortal Kombat 1.
One follower simply asked, “Are you voicing Homelander in Mortal Kombat 1?,” to which the actor replied, “Nope.”
Homelander is joining the roster for NetherRealm Studios’ latest fighting game next year, although with Starr not involved in the character’s involvement it remains to be seen who will be voicing the character. It’s worth noting that Omni-Man, who is also a guest character in MK1, is being voiced by J.K. Simmons.
Mortal Kombat 1 was released in September 2023 for PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X/S. The game features a brand new timeline following the events of Mortal Kombat 11, which sees classic characters given new story arcs and relationships. For example, Scorpion and Sub-Zero are no longer sworn enemies, and are instead clan brothers.
