Monster Hunter World game director Yuya Tokuda has revealed that the hotly anticipated action-RPG will take players around 40-50 hours to complete.

Speaking during a chinwag with Mein-MMO, Tokuda-san said that the game time will vary depending on the player, and stressed there's heaps of post-game content to enjoy.

Monster Hunter World offers plenty of content

Depending on the type of player, I suppose it will take about 40 to 50 hours to clear the story,” he said. “But it wouldn't be a Monster Hunter title if there wasn't content to enjoy post-game. Players can continue to forge and upgrade their favorite weapons and armor after the story is over.”

Not only that! We will also put out weekly event quest and free updates that players can enjoy post-launch,” added Kaname Fujioka, the game's executive director and art director.

The Monster Hunter World release date on PS4, PC, and Xbox One on January 26, 2018. Capcom will be hosting an open beta for PS4 owners between December 22-26.

Powered by the MT Framework engine, Monster Hunter World will feature larger environments and offer seamless transition between areas, and supports four-player co-op.

For the first time in the franchise, players from all over the world will be able to team up, whereas before this feature was region-specific.
