Quinton Flynn, the voice actor behind Raiden in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, has strongly hinted that something will be announced in regards to the franchise soon.
The prolific voice actor tweeted a video to advertise his Cameo page, which prompted a reply from a follow observing that Metal Gear Rising will be celebrating its 10th anniversary in February 2023. Another follower replied earlier today, asking if a sequel could be on the cards, possibly as part of a Metal Gear showcase.
“Stay tuned for things to be announced in the coming weeks,” replied Flynn. Right now it’s not known what exactly he’s referring too, whether it’s about Metal Gear Rising or the Metal Gear franchise as a whole.
While nothing has been announced yet, there’s been a lot of murmurs about multiple Metal Gear Solid projects being in the works, including remasters of previous games, a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and a full PS5 revamp of Metal Gear Solid.
