Elden Ring‘s first and only expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, has come out on top as the highest-rated DLC ever, according to Metacritic.
Shadow of the Erdtree is set to launch on Friday and currently has a Meteoritic score of 95 across 56 reviews. Not only is this the highest-rated expansion of all time, it also puts the expansion 36th overall on Metacritic’s highest-rated games ever.
Unsurprisingly, Shadow of the Erdtree also ranks as FromSoftware’s highest-rated DLC release to date, surpassing Dark Souls: Astorias of the Abyss, which sits at 89. Meanwhile, Dark Souls 2’s Crown of the Sunken King is at 82, Crown of the Old Iron King sits at 79, and Crown of the Ivory King holds a rating of 82.
